We have launched Kits and Bundles functionality under Commercium's Product listings page.
You can use this page to link a single marketplace listing to multiple component items in your ERP/Ecom platform. When a bundle is sold, Commercium will automatically "translate" the order into its individual child items. This ensures your warehouse picks the correct components and your ERP/ecom inventory remains accurate for every part of the kit.
For example -
So:
Example -
Inside your ERP / warehouse, that kit actually contains:
Example in Odoo (Bundle / Kit Product) -
Each of these has its own stock in Odoo.

Step 2: Create a Bill of Materials (BoM) in Odoo
In Manufacturing → Bill of Materials:
Step 3: Marketplace Order Comes In
Customer places an order on Amazon / Shopify / Flipkart:
Step 4: Odoo “Translates” the Order
Even though the sales order line shows the kit, the delivery order (picking) will contain:
Step 5: Inventory Impact
After delivery validation:
Why Odoo Users Do This?
You list “Free Sample Kit” on marketplace.
Internally:
Marketplace shows 1 product → Odoo breaks it into many products → warehouse picks individual items → stock remains correct.
You sell one product online, but that product is actually made of multiple items inside your warehouse.
So:
- Customer sees 1 listing
- Warehouse ships multiple individual items
- Inventory is reduced correctly for each item
Example -
- Online marketplace listings Product name is: “Skincare Kit”
- SKU shown online: SKIN-KIT-01
- Customer buys 1 Skincare Kit.
Inside your ERP / warehouse, that kit actually contains:
- 1 × Face Wash (SKU: FW-100)
- 1 × Moisturizer (SKU: MO-200)
- 1 × Sunscreen (SKU: SS-300)
- Order comes in as:
- SKIN-KIT-01 × 1
- SKIN-KIT-01 × 1
- Commercium automatically translates it into:
- FW-100 × 1
- MO-200 × 1
- SS-300 × 1
- FW-100 × 1
- Warehouse picks 3 separate items, not a single boxed kit
- Inventory is reduced for each item individually:
- Face Wash – minus 1
- Moisturizer – minus 1
- Sunscreen – minus 1
- Face Wash – minus 1
- You don’t need to stock pre-packed kits
- Warehouse knows exactly what to pick
- Inventory stays accurate for every component
- One marketplace listing can manage multiple SKUs internally
Example in Odoo (Bundle / Kit Product) -
Scenario - You sell a bundle product on a marketplace, but in Odoo you want:
- Inventory to be reduced for individual items
- Warehouse to pick individual products, not a pre-packed box
- T-Shirt (SKU: TS-01)
- Cap (SKU: CAP-01)
- Water Bottle (SKU: WB-01)
Each of these has its own stock in Odoo.
Bundle product (Marketplace product)
- Product Name: “Merchandise Kit”
- SKU: MERCH-KIT
- Product Type: Consumable / Service (no stock tracked)
- Purpose: Only used for selling on marketplace
Step 2: Create a Bill of Materials (BoM) in Odoo
In Manufacturing → Bill of Materials:
- BoM Product: MERCH-KIT
- BoM Type: Kit
- Components:
- T-Shirt (TS-01) × 1
- Cap (CAP-01) × 1
- Water Bottle (WB-01) × 1
- T-Shirt (TS-01) × 1
“When this kit is sold, deliver these items instead.”
Step 3: Marketplace Order Comes In
Customer places an order on Amazon / Shopify / Flipkart:
- MERCH-KIT × 1
Step 4: Odoo “Translates” the Order
Even though the sales order line shows the kit, the delivery order (picking) will contain:
- T-Shirt × 1
- Cap × 1
- Water Bottle × 1
Step 5: Inventory Impact
After delivery validation:
- T-Shirt stock → reduced by 1
- Cap stock → reduced by 1
- Water Bottle stock → reduced by 1
- MERCH-KIT stock → not tracked
Why Odoo Users Do This?
- You don’t need to maintain stock for bundle SKUs
- One marketplace SKU can map to many internal SKUs
- Easy substitution or quantity change of components
- Perfect for combo offers, influencer kits, free gifts
You list “Free Sample Kit” on marketplace.
Internally:
- Kit SKU price = 0
- BoM splits it into:
- Sample Cream × 1
- Sample Serum × 1
- Sample Cream × 1
Marketplace shows 1 product → Odoo breaks it into many products → warehouse picks individual items → stock remains correct.
