Once your Kogan account has been successfully connected, your Kogan products will begin importing into Commercium automatically. While the import process is running in the background, you can proceed with the integration setting configuration

Step 1: Open Your Kogan Channel Settings First, log in to your Commercium account.

  1. Go to Integrations from the left-hand menu.
  2. Open your connected Kogan channel.
  3. You will be taken to the Kogan Channel Settings page.

This page contains all the configuration options required to manage your Shopify–Kogan synchronization.

Step 2: Configure Product Identifier Mapping:- The MAP PRODUCT IDENTIFIER section determines how Commercium identifies and matches products between Shopify and Kogan.
    You will see two fields:

    • Kogan Store Identifier
    • Source Channel Identifier

Select the appropriate product identifier in both fields.
For example, if SKU is used to identify your products in both Shopify and Kogan:
      Kogan Store Identifier: SKU
      Source Channel Identifier: SKU

Step 3: Configure Order Synchronization:- The ORDER section controls how Kogan orders are synchronized with Shopify.

      To enable order synchronization:

When enabled, you can enter the Default Tax Percentage from Kogan.

Skip Syncing of Unpaid Orders:- Enable this option if unpaid Kogan orders should not be imported into Shopify.

Do Not Sync Email Address:- Enable this option if you do not want the customer's email address from Kogan to be synchronized with Shopify.

Enable Email Notifications for Failed Order Sync:- Enable this option to receive email notifications when an order fails during synchronization.

Customize Order Number:- The Customize Order Number field allows you to control how Kogan order numbers appear in Shopify.
You can use the available shortcode:
      [ORDER_NUMBER]
You can also add a prefix or suffix.

      Example:
      KOGAN-[ORDER_NUMBER]
This makes it easier to identify orders that originated from Kogan.

Customize Order Notes:- You can also customize the order notes added to Shopify orders.

      The available shortcode is:
      [ORDER_NUMBER]
      For example:

Add Order Tags:- The Tags option allows you to automatically add a tag to orders imported from Kogan.

      For example:
      Kogan [ORDER_NUMBER]
This can help you easily identify and filter Kogan orders in Shopify.

Currency Conversion- If Kogan and your Shopify store use different currencies, enable Currency Conversion to default currency of Store.

This allows Commercium to convert the order value into your Shopify store's default currency.

Step 4: Configure Advanced Order Settings:-  Expand Advanced Settings under the Order section to access additional configuration options

Step 6: Configure Inventory Synchronization:- The INVENTORY section controls how inventory quantities are sent from Shopify to Kogan.
To enable inventory synchronization: Turn ON → Send Inventory Updates to Kogan

This can help reduce the risk of overselling.

LocationSelect the Shopify inventory location that should be used for Kogan inventory synchronization.

💡 Tip: Make sure the selected Shopify location contains the inventory you want to make available on Kogan.

        To enable product synchronization:
        Turn ON → Product Synchronization

Import Product Changes from Source Channel:- Enable this option if you want product changes made in Shopify to be imported into Commercium.

This helps keep your product information updated when changes are made in Shopify.

Default Quantity:- Enter a default quantity if you need Commercium to assign inventory to applicable products that do not have inventory tracking enabled.

        For example:
        Default Quantity: 10
The configured quantity can be used as the default inventory quantity for applicable non-tracked products.

Step 9: Configure Product Listing Rules:- After enabling Product Synchronization, you can use Product Listing Rules to control which Shopify products should be listed on Kogan.

You can follow this guide to setup product listing plan

💡 Tip: Use listing rules when you do not want every Shopify product to be listed on Kogan.
You can configure your listing rules based on your catalog and Kogan listing requirements.

Step 10: Save Your Settings:- After configuring the required settings:

        1. Review your Product Identifier Mapping.
